Oncort maintains a high level of integrity providing applicants with a full understanding of Oncort’s expectations before applying and accepting any position. Each applicant goes through rigorous screening processes including, but not limited to:

  • PCP (Phencyclidine) Barbiturates
  • Benzodiazephines
  • Propoxyphene
  • Methadone

Social Security Number Trace

This screening allows Oncort to verify the accuracy of the information provided on the applicant’s application. The information is used in an effort to identify and prevent potential fraud. This trace includes, but is not limited to a list of previous addresses, all names (including aliases) associated with the applicant’s social security number.

County Criminal Court Records Search

This search, which is conducted by on-site county court researchers, provides county court records of each applicant with specific details of any felony and/or misdemeanor convictions. This search includes, but is not limited to pending cases, date and nature of offense, sentencing date, disposition, and current status.

National Criminal Database Search

This search extends beyond the applicant’s current state of residency. General information is obtained from 47 states within the U.S. as well as from approximately 2 million criminal records.

Sex Offender Registry

This screening, from the nationwide list of sex offenders, provides detailed information of those convicted of such crimes.
